The soldier pages contain information that is available from a number of resources. The following hyperlinks in the summary table that follows are active where the information is available (completed):
Soldier Last Name: Veteran Affairs Canada, Canadian Virtual War Memorial
Soldier First Name: Milton Remembers WWII 1939-1945 Extracts
Soldier Service Number: Library and Archives Canada, WWII Service Records
Cemetery: Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Debt of Honour Register
The summary of the service noted at this time is taken from the MHS Publication “Milton Remembers WWII 1939-1945” (corrected as necessary *). The picture and summary information from the book was submitted to the Canadian Virtual War Memorial for each soldier, thus clicking on their “Last Name”, in the table below, will take you to the CVWM information. Clicking on the “First Name” will bring up the image extracted from the WWII book. All of the extracts are shown in the table on the “WWII Soldier Extracts” page, also linked from the header on this page.
As of the date of this new section on WWII we do not have the Service Records for each of the Milton Soldiers of the Second World War. This information is now available from Library and Archives Canada and all efforts will be made to obtain this information. At that time it a complete copy of the service record will be made available in electronic and paper format in the Alex Cooke Memorial Archives at the Milton Historical Society and uploaded to the MediaFire site.
As with the WWI section, we will eventually place the WWII Milton Soldiers in their appropriate grave site position using Google Earth. You can see a sample of this for the WWI soldiers at “Milton Soldiers Google Earth”.
The following is the list that has been compiled of those soldiers from, or associated with the Milton Victoria Park Cenotaph and the Haltonville Cenotaph. If you have arrived at this page via an outside link, please note that there are three (3) names on the WWII Panel of the Victoria Park Cenotaph that are in error (Smillie, Paterson and Dixon). The errors are detailed on the WWII Index Page.
The colouring of the cell with the name distinguishes the location of the memorial and the status of the research on that soldier.

Name | Haltonville Cenotaph |
Name | Name appears on both Victoria Park and Haltonville |
